Estimator

Cammach are currently recruiting for an Estimator with fabrication experience for our client in Aberdeen, this would be a permanent position for a small but busy client.

ROLE

The Main purpose of the role would be Responsibility for accurately estimating costs of fabrication and manufacturing projects to meet applicable safety standards, targets and deadlines, to maximise productivity and profitability.

Estimates will require consideration of materials, manufacture/fabrication, labour/work including any development costs (such as to fabricate new components). Estimates will include any changes/repairs of partially fabricated components as a result of specification revisions

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to read drawings, documents, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project.
• Determining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product.
• Preparing material estimates and cost estimates for the product or service.
• Creating labour estimates for any project.
• Create work orders and coordinate with operations team on work scope and delivery.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors.
• Research and obtain data on vendor / material supplier options .
• Using IT software quoting, cost tracking, forecasting and budgeting.
• Obtaining and reviewing offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors.
• Performing project profit analysis.

Core week 40 hours.
