Are you an experienced Estimator looking to bring your expertise to a dynamic and growing team? Our client, a respected leader in the construction industry, is seeking an Estimator to produce competitive, detailed, and accurate tenders while fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare precise cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
• Identify risks or issues that could impact project costs, timelines, or quality, and provide recommendations for mitigation.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to clarify requirements, address inquiries, and negotiate terms.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of tender documents, correspondence, and other relevant information.
• Ensure all estimates and tenders comply with industry standards, laws, and regulations.

Key Tasks:

• Prepare detailed 'take-offs' and Bills of Quantities.
• Analyse project requirements to identify potential impacts on project costs.
• Use estimating software effectively to ensure accuracy and transparency.
• Participate in post-tender discussions to support the progression of projects to the contract award stage.
• Maintain strong knowledge of local supply chains and current market rates to deliver competitive pricing.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in an estimating role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of building materials, components, Building Regulations, and health and safety standards.
• Familiarity with contractual procedures and responsibilities.
• Highly numerate with the ability to manipulate numerical information accurately.
• Experience working with estimating software packages.
• Strong communication, influencing, and liaison skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Analytical mindset, with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
