End User Compute / VIP Support Engineer sought to join the new International HQ of a century-old, privately-owned international Trading business. This role would suit someone with a strong background in modern Desktop management, Cloud services and Scripting and with a passion for staying updated with the latest technologies and industry trends. You will from a team of two supporting Senior Management and Corporate Functions with a 60-person userbase. The environment would suit someone self-aware & humble, very strong technically, flexible to work outside remit as part of small team, and with excellent user empathy.The Role Provide high-quality, personalised support to senior end-users, troubleshooting and resolving Hardware, Software and Connectivity issuesManaging and maintaining the firms desktops and laptops including Image Deployment, Patching and Upgrades. Administration and configuration of Cloud services such as Microsoft365, Azure and InTune for device and application management. Implementing and enforcing BYOD policies and solutions, ensuring secure access and data protection. Automation development using PowerShell for routine tasks and to improve operational efficiency. Support and manage messaging, voice and video conferencing platforms. The Individual Qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.3-5 years of experience in in End User Computing, Desktop Support, or a similar role.Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 suite (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, etc.), Azure services, and Microsoft Intune.Familiarity with mobile device management (MDM) solutions and BYOD policies.In-depth knowledge of current and emerging cybersecurity threats, including phishing, malware, ransomware, and advanced persistent threats (APTs).Expertise in implementing endpoint protection, detection, and response (EDR) solutions for comprehensive endpoint security.Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages.Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on providing efficient and effective solutions.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Experience with Virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions preferred.Knowledge of modern desktop management tools like Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Workspace ONE and cloud-based desktop services like Windows 365 or Azure Virtual Desktop strongly preferred. Understanding of security best practices, including data protection, encryption, and compliance standards along with relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, ACMT, JCMA) strongly preferred. The ideal candidate should possess a strong VIP / white glove mindset, coupled with technical expertise in end-user computing, cloud services, and automation. As the role evolves, experience with emerging technologies like virtual desktops, modern management tools, and security best practices will be highly valued.This is an excellent opportunity to join a newly formed Group business as part of a century-old Trading organisation, situated at a plush top-floor Mayfair Executive Headquarters 3-4 days per week.
