ROLE OVERVIEW: Reporting to the Guest Experience Senior Manager/ Director, the Events Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of several guest experience elements on designated events throughout the year, within our golf events portfolio, for key clients which may include LIV Golf and Golf Saudi.The Guest Experience team ensures a smooth and seamless experience through guest management and logistics and curates experiential elements to help drive brand fans and event commercialisation. Responsibilities include hospitality and VIP propositions, event-wide food & beverage procurement, special events, player and stakeholder accommodation, transport, guest management systems, accreditation, gifting, clothing and Pro-Am tournament coordination. The Events Manager - Guest Experience must boast international event experience within the world of sports. They must boast strong personal motivation, be comfortable working remotely and unsupervised, and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. A keen eye for detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines with excellent communication skills are also important. Understanding the professional golf ecosystem, its stakeholders, rightsholders and suppliers is advantageous but not mandatory.Tasked with delivering core aspects of the events and supported by Senior 54 management, the Events Manager must be comfortable managing a variety of relationships, understanding rights-holder requirements to feed into the wider team, have the flexibility to travel internationally, and the ability to work in different cultures.KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Report to and support the Guest Experience Senior Manager/ Director and the wider Event delivery team Lead on guest management systems, communications and guest programs Ensure rights-holder guest requirementsDevelop hospitality plans to ensure a premium guest experienceProcure and manage local caterers for various areas of the tournamentsOrganise special events and private functionsNegotiate block bookings of hotels; manage rooming lists and room dropsContract transport suppliers; manage of airport transfers, bus schedules & courtesy carsBrief and oversee front-facing staffDevise accreditation plans and systemsManage tournament Pro-Am requirementsDevelop supporting documentation and informationCommunicate clear client status updatesOversee and provide guidance to Guest Experience Executives Be and excellent communicator and team player.REQUIRED SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Great attention to detail Excellent organisational and time management skills Quick decision-making skills Excellent leadership and motivational skills Excellent interpersonal skills The ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the business Strong work ethic with the ability to work unsupervised Be a servant leader, not afraid to roll your sleeves up and help stakeholders where needed Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 Ability to work at least 3 days a week from our Wimbledon office, and travel up to 12 weeks of the year.SALARY AND BENEFITS:Competitive SalaryAnnual Discretionary Company Bonus – up to 8% - 3% Company & 5% Individual25 days annual leave (+ public holidays), pro-ratedEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Private HealthcareStaff clothingWorking hours will be from 09.00 to 17.30 with an hour taken for lunch between 12.00 and 14.00 (longer hours when deployed on event).
