For more information, visit www.oliverwyman.com.The Opportunity:The Events Manager is an integral part of the overall OW Global Events Team. This role involves leading internal and OW branded client events across Europe, as well as developing and implementing a strategic, multi-faceted event program for the UKI market with a specific focus on events designed to deepen engagement and meet business objectives. For this purpose, the Events Manager collaborates closely with the UKI Market Leader, OW Forum Executive Team, and UK Marketing Head.Key Responsibilities Develop and implement an annual event plan for the UKI Market - events range from intimate dinners, roundtables, networking and alumni events, corporate hospitality, and multiday sponsored conferences.Lead the planning of meetings and events, establishing the vision, and overseeing the ideation, planning, and execution process while in partnership with internal stakeholders (Business Impact Team, Marketing, DTP, EAs) and external vendors.Manage all aspects of event logistics – venue contracting, travel management, invitation and registration, event setup and AV production.Ownership of budgets and expenses for all managed events.Provide consultancy services to business teams (support staff, partners, affiliated consultants, and specialists), advising on event planning and firm guidelines.Work closely with the Marketing Team to understand and deliver on their marketing campaigns.Support the Events Director on regional and global OW & cross-MMC initiatives across Europe as required.Independent execution of several strategic projects in the UKI market as required.Implement key innovation and trends in the industry to create compelling event designs and continually improve standards in our events offering.Manage vendor relationship across multiple services from procurement to contract negotiation. Manage 2 event planners and 1 events coordinator through performance management, training, and supervision of event projects.
