Are you looking for a flexible and rewarding role within education? We are currently seeking dedicated Exam Invigilators to support secondary schools across the Croydon area during the upcoming GCSE and A-Level exam period (May-June 2025).

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with excellent English language skills and a keen eye for detail to play a vital role in upholding the integrity of the examination process. Whether you're an experienced invigilator or looking to step into this role for the first time, we'd love to hear from you!

The Role:

As an Exam Invigilator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising students during exams.
  • Setting up examination rooms, including distributing papers and stationery.
  • Ensuring candidates adhere to exam rules - no cheating, talking, or distractions.
  • Assisting students who require support, including scribing duties where necessary.
  • Collecting and collating exam papers and materials at the end of each session.
  • Supporting students who may need to leave due to illness or emergencies.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A strong command of English (written and spoken).
  • Excellent handwriting - especially important for scribing roles.
  • Previous invigilation experience (preferred but not essential - training provided).
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Professionalism, reliability, and always maintain confidentiality.
