Examinations Support OfficerNOCN Group is seeking to recruit an Examinations Support Officer to work on a permanent basis as part of the Examinations team.Purpose and Objectives:To provide support for the effective operation of the examinations lifecycle including:o development and delivery of end to end awarding processo compiling examination data for standardisation activityo formatting and standardisation activity of examination materialso interface systems and release of examination resultsTo contribute to the continuing improvement of the examinations service by reporting on the efficacy of processes and procedures.Why NOCN Group?NOCN Group is an educational charity whose core aims are to help learners reach their potential and organisations thrive. Plus, there’s lots of other great benefits which can be viewed on our website at: Group has been named amongst the Best Medium-sized Organisations in the UK as one of Sunday Times’ Best Places to Work 2024 list.Duties and Responsibilities:Arrange and service a range of quality assurance/standardisation and awarding meetings.Track examination bookings and monitor scripts for awarding purposes on a range of platforms.Compile standardisation data for awarding meetings.Format examinations prior to approval and release.Make examinations available, as instructed by the Senior Examinations Officer, for release to centres by the customer support team and retire and withdraw examinations as instructed by the Senior Examinations Officer.Take all reasonable steps to maintain the confidentiality of examination materials and report any breaches to the Examinations and Awarding Manager.Send relevant information to centres and/or learners in a timely manner.Process/apply reasonable adjustments in line with the NOCN Reasonable adjustments and Special Considerations policy and procedure.Support Senior Examinations Officers and Examinations Officers by maintaining a register of subject matter experts, i.e.. markers, Principal Examiners and issue contracts as requested.Any other duties relating to the examinations area such as:Remote invigilation bookings, deliver remote invigilation and report to the Examinations and Awarding Manager if there is a risk of performance falling below service standards.Report malpractice or suspected malpractice arising from remote invigilation to the Examinations and Awarding Manager immediately and instigate procedures to prevent the issuing of invalid results and certificates.Apply agreed reasonable adjustments.Undertake observe, record and review and report to the Examinations and Awarding Manager if there is a risk of performance falling below service standards.Manage recordings produced from observe, record and review in line with GDPR procedures.Manage recordings of speaking examinations.About you...The successful candidate will meet the following essential criteria:Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy or equivalent.Educated to Level 2 (GCSE level/other appropriate vocational qualifications).Experience of working with a diverse range of customers.Willingness to travel within the UK.Desirable criteria:Evidence of continuing professional development.Experience of working with awarding organisations or similar bodies in a regulated environment.Experience of conducting remote invigilation.Experience of servicing committees.Experience of formatting documents.How to Apply?If this sounds like the job for you, please send your completed Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form, CV and a covering letter, explaining why you are the best fit for the role, to: ##### specify the role that you are applying for in the subject header of the email.The full Job Description/Person Specification and Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form can be downloaded on our website at:
