Experience Lab Technician

We are currently working on behalf of a Crosby secondary school who require an experienced School Laboratory Technician.

The Role:

• Secondary School Science Technician
• Independent Secondary School - Crosby
• £95 per day
• Full time
• Long-term
• ASAP - July 25
• Must have experience of working in a school laboratory

Duties include:-

• Maintaining equipment.
• Constructing and modifying apparatus.
• Setting up experiments.
• Taking an active part in laboratory demonstrations.
• Ordering resources and keeping budgets.
• Helping in practical classes.
• Giving technical help to pupils and students.
• Always meeting current health and safety standards.
• A science degree combined with a COSHH qualification for science technicians is required

To join us and be successful in this secondary science technician role, you will need to:

• A degree in science plus a COSHH Science technician qualification
• At least 6 weeks' experience of working in a school or college with children aged 11- 18
• This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
• Provide a CV with 10 years of employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
• Have the legal right to work in the UK
