Salary: up to �35k (DOE)
Grafton Recruitment are delighted to be working with a leading company based in the North Yorkshire area who are looking to recruit a European Operations Coordinator to join their ever expanding business in Selby. Our client is looking for an experienced professional with a background in European Road Freight.

THE ROLE:

Some of your responsibilities as a Operations Coordinator:

• Manage European Road Freight shipments in transit through to successful completion and delivery.
• Calculation of freight rates for both export and import freight shipments.
• To build and maintain relationships and maximise the potential of the client's business.
• Preparation of all relevant operational documentation including customs clearance formalities.
• Issue of invoices and completion of job files.
• Extensive supplier liaison to develop reliable and cost effective European services.

THE CANDIDATE:

The ideal Operations Coordinator:

• A minimum of 3 years' freight forwarding experience in European Road Freight.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Good IT skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Numerate with experience of calculating freight quotes.
• Knowledge and experience of customs clearance requirements, particularly understanding of post-Brexit regulations.
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
