EYFS Teacher

The Role:

As an SEN EYFS Teacher, you will be joining a well-established school that specialises in supporting children with severe learning difficulties (SLD) and Autism (ASD). This role is ideal for an EYFS Teacher who has experience working with these specific needs, particularly with knowledge of Picture Exchange Communication (PECs), Intensive Interaction, Attention Autism, and Early Years, as many of the children have cognitive levels below 24 months. This school is equipped with excellent facilities designed to support the learning and development of its pupils, including personalised learning plans, sensory exploration areas, and a supportive multi-professional team. The school caters to children from early years up to the age of 19, providing a nurturing and inclusive environment that values the uniqueness of each child.

Key Responsibilities:

• As an EYFS SEN Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of each pupil.
• Collaborate closely with support staff and other professionals to ensure that every child's educational and emotional needs are fully met.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment as an SEN Teacher committed to the growth and development of all students.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Essential experience: Working as an SEN Teacher or EYFS Teacher
• Ideal experience: Familiarity with Picture Exchange Communication (PECs), Intensive Interaction, Attention Autism, and Early Years education.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, which are vital for success as an SEN Teacher.
