Gather & Gather, we are known as one of the UK & Irelands most distinctive catering experts, we are passionate about great food and great coffee and putting our employees and customers at the heart of everything that we do. We are currently recruiting for an F&B Account Director to work with us. We are looking for an experienced operator who can manage a large team with 6 direct reports covering staffing, sales, marketing, food, operations and events. This is an exciting position to look after an iconic London venue.
Location: London
Rate of pay: £80,000 - £90,000 per annum + amazing benefits
Working pattern: 40 hours per week, due to the nature of the venue we are looking for someone who can work a 5 over 7 shift pattern as the venue can be busy over weekends
This role will oversee all of our retail outlets, fixed and mobile within an Iconic venue in London. We are looking for someone to ensure that operations such as food service, venue sales, hospitality operations, finance, compliance and people management and HR practices are being adhered to in line with CH&CO and the client’s expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Full P&L responsibility
• Ability to lead on all F&B strategy across the venue
• With the site management team ensure that the client expectations of food and food service are consistently delivered
• Set clear expectations to the managers regarding food and service standards to ensure that all services provided are of the highest standards
• Proactively make suggestions to clients regarding innovation in food and food service to develop the site,
• Develop and sustain strong working relationships with all clients for the venue
• Be the first point of reference for all client comments and concerns and take any necessary action
• Work with managers and other relevant parties to make sure income is maximised through effective purchasing, marketing and revenue/ waste control
• Produce financial reports where necessary ensuring all details can be explained and outlining any necessary action that has been taken
• Manage and develop managers within the venue for which you are Account Director
• Provide effective performance management and appraisal to relevant site mangers
• To ensure that the site managers are effectively managing the staff in their unit and to assist in this as appropriate
• Utilise contacts and personal profile to attract new business
Our Ideal Candidate:
• Will have experience managing large turnovers of £10million +
• Will have experience working in a large hotel or exhibition venue
• Will have strong sales experience in C&E
• Be innovative and commercially aware
• Is a persuasive and articulate communicator
