We have an exciting opportunity for a Fabric Technician to join our Estates team. This role is a based in our Main Hospital site in Central London (W1G 6BW). We are also offering a competitive salary of £34,200 plus a fantastic array of benefits.
Established in 1932, The London Clinic is one of the UK's largest private hospitals, with state-of-the-art facilities located around Harley Street. We have approx. 1300 employees across 8 sites, where we cover a broad range of specialisms, including complex medical and surgical procedures and a comprehensive range of cancer and outpatient services.
Job Profile
The Fabric Technician will be responsible for all fabric related jobs, this will include but not limited to undertaking maintenance, repairs, minor improvements, carpentry, fire door remedial works, installation of door furniture, basic plumbing, installation of window restrictors, water safety tasks and capital work across the Clinic as directed.
Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position. Rota will be four on four off shift system.
Salary: £34,200
Location: 20 Devonshire Place, London, W1G 6BW (Baker Street and Regents Park stations)

Key Duties
To work in accordance with the requirements of the FSI Concept reactive and PPM jobs & Clinic policies.
Maintain accurate records of all work
To ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner following the appropriate risk assessment at all times.
Respond to Fabric emergency repairs as needed and assist colleagues where required
To Inspect and maintain Fire doors (Examine fire doors for any breaches, ensuring structural integrity), in accordance with BSEN 1634
Ensure essential repair works and general maintenance activities at the request of the management
Skills
NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry
City & Guilds Level 2 in Carpentry & Joinery
Substantial experience in a similar role
Possess a working knowledge of relevant building & health & safety Legislation
