For the successful Fabricator Welder (Heavy Gauge) our client is offering:

• Hourly rate of £19.22 per hour (PAYE)
• Overtime paid at x1.5 (£28.83) & x2 (£38.44)
• Guaranteed 12 hours of overtime available at £28.83 per hour every week, with the possibility of this increasing as they get busier 
• Core Working hours Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm, with a 2:30pm finish on Friday
• DIGs available for out of town candidates
• Long-term temporary position
• Holiday pay
• Pension - Auto enrolment after 3 months
• Opportunities for candidates to become permanent depending on performance

The role - Fabricator Welder (Heavy Gauge) 

• Fabricating and welding structural components.
• Plate perpetration, using different methods (Oxy – fuel gas cutting & Hand Grinding), pressure testing, drilling & lock fitting
• Fit, fair and tack weld steelwork
• Completing MIG, MMA & TIG welding
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Operating various tools and machinery.
• Assembling the parts into a structure, usually by welding it, but sometimes using bolts and rivets
• Finishing off the assembly, using tools like grinders and polishers to smooth the surface
• Ensuring high-quality standards are met.
• Following health and safety protocols

What our client is looking for in a Fabricator Welder (Heavy Gauge) :

• City & Guilds/NVQ in fabrication or welding
• Proven expertise in fabrication and welding. ESSENTIAL
• Proven experience in the Marine / Nuclear / Steel fabrication / Off-shore / Petro-chemical or Construction industries - ESSENTIAL
• Previous experience with Heavy Gauge Fabrication/ Plating work - ESSENTIAL
• Significant experience in marine/ship repair - BENEFICIAL
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Full BPSS & SC clearance (Security Check) or willingness to undergo the clearance process
