Fabricator / Welder
Working hours: 46 hours per week - Mixed Day/Night shifts (Set shifts may be considered)
Nights - 18.30-6.30 ( MON TO THURS )
Days - 7.00-17.30 (MON TO THURS) / 7.00-13.00 (FRI)
Salary: £33k with an extra 3k on top for shift allowance.

As a welder fabricator, you will be responsible for joining different metals using a variety of techniques. Duties may include cutting and welding materials according to technical drawings, occasional tests may be required depending on client requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Various aspects of welding & fabrication
- Interpret engineering drawings for parts to be fabricated/welded
- General mechanical skills
- Ensure production timings are met
- Create specific weldment set- ups and fixturing to meet geometric requirements
- Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
- Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
- Rework and/or repair welded parts and products according to engineering specification changes.
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
- Prioritize work flow through effective communication with management staff
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
Education & Training
- Apprentice trained or time served fabricator/welder with proven experience (Preferred)
- Basic computer navigation and utilization skills (preferred)
- Specific technical or vocational training or certification (preferred)
Knowledge & Experience
- Ability to weld manually using both GMAW & GTAW processes
- Robotic welding (advantageous)
- Experience in the use of overhead crane would be an advantage
- Knowledge and experience in exotic materials such as: duplex and austenitic steels but not limited to
