Facilities Engineer | Cambridge | Up to £35,000 (depending on experience)

Are you a skilled Facilities Engineer looking for an opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment? Our client is looking for an experienced and proactive individual to oversee and maintain their facilities at their ever-growing Cambridge site. Our client operates in the Aerospace sector and due to their business expanding at a rapid rate, they are looking to expand their Facilities team.

As a Facilities Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:


  • Ensuring compliance with all site safety procedures and demonstrate a strong understanding of site safety requirements.
  • Performing general maintenance and coordinate with contractors to achieve high standards and timely delivery.
  • Understanding and maintaining key engineering systems, including heating, ventilation, and plumbing.
  • Carrying out plumbing and joinery repairs and supporting both production and office teams.
  • Conducting site inspections and checks, maintaining the grounds, and managing the Facilities Helpdesk tickets for repair and maintenance tasks.

As the successful Facilities Engineer, you’ll have:


  • A mechanical and/or electrical qualification or extensive M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) experience.
  • Familiarity with engineering systems such as heating, ventilation, and plumbing.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a diplomatic working style.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety practices, including risk assessments, method statements, and permits to work.
