Facilities Engineering Lead



Location: Devon

Schedule: Monday - Friday / 8am-4pm

Salary: �50,000 - �52,000.



Role Overview



As the Facilities Engineering Lead, you will oversee and maintain site services and facilities. This role involves ensuring the reliability of critical systems, coordinating contractual agreements, and maintaining high standards in all infrastructure operations.



Key Responsibilities




  • System Management: Ensure the effective operation and maintenance of HV/LV electrical infrastructure, gas generation, compressed air, effluent systems, water distribution, buildings, and safety systems.

  • Contractual Coordination: Work with the purchasing department to ensure adequate contractual cover for site services and facilities.

  • Maintenance Oversight: Identify, coordinate, and manage actions and repairs for building conditions and facility systems.

  • Standards Compliance: Uphold high standards in Health & Safety, Quality, Productivity, Hygiene, and housekeeping.

  • Loss Minimization: Reduce product and material losses through diligent maintenance practices.

  • Contractor Management: Manage and coordinate with contractors, ensuring compliance with company policies.

  • Reporting: Provide regular updates on facilities and system statuses to the Engineering Manager.



Qualifications and Skills




  • Educational Background: Degree level or equivalent in a relevant field.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in facilities management within a food or food-related environment.

  • Certifications: City & Guilds 236 parts 1, 2, & 3; Latest Electrical Regulations (18th Edition); Food-related hygiene course.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in computer use with SAP knowledge.

  • Contractor Coordination: Proven experience in managing contractors and service providers.
