Facilities Maintenance Operative
Kettering
Salary to £27k plus benefits
Our established client based in Kettering has a permanent, full-time vacancy for a Maintenance Operative to work in their Facilities department to maintain the efficient and safe running of the company's sites, ensuring clean facilities are available for visitors and staff.
Responsibilities:-
As a Maintenance Operative, you will be required to carry out the following:
    \n
  • Provision of a comprehensive range of caretaking (including DIY).
  • \n
  • Security of site, opening and closing.
  • \n
  • Key holder
  • \n
  • Shift pattern, including early starts and late finishes.
  • \n
  • Intruder and fire alarm call outs
  • \n
  • Conducting Health & Safety checks
  • \n
  • Driving the company van and Pool cars
  • \n
  • Heavy lifting will be required on occasions
  • \n
  • Lead and inspire the facilities team in accordance with HR policies and procedures
  • \n
  • Demonstrate ownership of the Facilities plan, maintenance and replacement, upkeep of grounds and external appearance of company premises.
  • \n
  • Managing facilities contracts for both company sites 
  • \n
  • Conduct frequent tours of the sites and grounds
  • \n
  • Ensure sufficient resource in place at all times.
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, attend H&S meetings
  • \n
  • Act as Fire Marshall
  • \n
  • Maintenance of pool cars
  • \n
About You...
The successful candidate must demonstrate the following skills/attributes and experience:-

  • Able to work as part of a team or alone
  • \n
  • Flexible/adaptable
  • \n
  • Positive, ‘can-do’ attitude
  • \n
  • Experience of building effective relationships across various departments
  • \n
  • Full driving licence
  • \n
  • Prepared to train and act as a first aider
  • \n
  • Problem solving skills
  • \n
  • Pedestrian/fork lift truck licence
  • \n
The following experience is desirable, but not essential:-
  • Fire Marshall, manual handling and health and safety experience
