As we prepare to open our state-of-the-art new home in Haddenham, Aylesbury, Majesticare is searching for a talented and experienced Facilities Manager to lead our dedicated maintenance team. This is your chance to be part of something special, ensuring that our home operates seamlessly while maintaining the highest standards of safety and comfort for our residents and staff.
About the Role:
As the Facilities Manager, youll oversee all aspects of maintaining our stunning new facility. From day-to-day repairs to large-scale projects, your expertise will ensure that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Youll be responsible for managing a team, keeping compliance records up to date, and delivering first-class facilities management services.
Can you
Oversee Daily Maintenance: Ensure the homes buildings and grounds are always in top condition.
Lead the Maintenance Team: Manage, mentor, and guide the team to meet and exceed performance expectations.
Manage Your Budget: Ensure maintenance and project work stay within allocated budgets while delivering excellent results.
Ensure Compliance & Safety: Maintain up-to-date records for health and safety, ensuring the home meets all regulatory requirements.
Be Hands-On: Tackle minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks, and support larger projects with external contractors.
Deliver Training: Provide essential health, safety, and fire safety training for staff.
Provide Emergency Response: Be ready to respond to urgent maintenance situations during and after working hours.
What Were Looking For:
Essential:
A genuine interest in working within a caring environment.
Extensive experience in maintenance work and DIY.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
A full, clean driving license.
Basic knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
Desirable:
Previous experience with PAT testing and fire risk assessments.
Vocational qualifications (achieved or in progress).
Familiarity with compliance and regulatory processes in a care home setting.
