Factory Manager required to join a well-established leading sub-contract precision engineering company, specializing precision-manufactured components for various industries, including aerospace, automotive, medical, and defence. The Factory Manager will have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in manufacturing and proven team leadership and management skills and a can-do, hands-on attitude. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing process, including production planning, scheduling the workload to the shopfloor, ensuring that all materials are available for production and that sub-contractors are organised in good time so that delivery times are met, as well as overseeing the quality control department.
Factory Manager Position Overview
Liaising with the customer in good time if there are any delays/problems in production.
Working closely with the sales, design and planning team and the shop floor to ensure that all paperwork is complete, up-to-date and correct and that all necessary design changes are made.
Making sure health and safety rules and regulations are up-to-date and being adhered to.
Continually monitor quality and report to the appropriate department on any issues and to initiate and monitor change where required.
Monitor overtime and carry out disciplinaries when required.
Be responsible for all factory areas inside and out to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
Carry out annual appraisals with factory staff and identify/offer relevant training/coaching and team building exercises where applicable.
Factory Manager Position Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a factory management role within the precision engineering or manufacturing industry.
Overall the right candidate should be a strong, confident individual, able to communicate easily on all levels and have demonstrable people management skills to maintain good relationships within the workforce and further build a strong, collaborative team.

Time Management - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.

Salary - £33,000 - £36,000 (DOE)
