Factory Operative

Temp-to-Perm | �16ph | 30 Hours per Week | Factory Operative | Own Transport Essential

We are excited to partner with a respected food manufacturer located on the outskirts of Maldon, Essex, to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Factory Operative.

Please note, this role involves physically demanding tasks.

This position is a permanent opportunity, with the first 3 months being on a temporary basis through Prime Appointments.

Due to the location, own transport is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating factory machinery efficiently and safely
• Conducting visual quality checks of products
• Adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and site processes
• Completing relevant paperwork
• Using a pallet truck and pump truck for material handling
• Setting up production machinery
• Performing heavy, manual duties as part of factory operations

Hours & Pay:

• Monday - Sunday - 5 days per week (various shifts available)
• Will include working at least 1 day at the weekend
• 6:30 AM to 12:30 PM
• Shift times may vary in the future
• �16.00 per hour

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous manufacturing or production experience
• Ability to read and write in English - all applicants will be required to pass a Maths and English assessment
• Ability to handle manual tasks
• Counterbalance forklift certification (preferred)
• Own transport required due to location
• Willingness to work overtime and flexibility with shift patterns
