Farm Supervisor – Harvest

We are currently working with one of UK largest Farming businesses who are looking to recruit a Farm Supervisor to lead their Harvest operations based near Colchester.

As a farm supervisor you will work closely with the Harvest Manager and lead a large team harvesting a wide range of products for salads as well as crop walks and quality checks.

On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for:

• Day to day supervision of the harvesting teams.


• Ensuring that the harvest teams are following all relevant Health, Safety and best practice processes


• Crop walking, ensuring attention to detail of all outdoor crops for quality and availabilities


• Assisting the Harvest Manager


• Managing relevant paperwork


• Driving productivity for the day to day field harvest operations, attempt to keep yields as close to budget or better if possible.


• Checking that all farming machinery is well maintained and safe to us

Who would suit this role?

Anyone who has a passion for Farming and has worked with the Harvesting of Crops previously, a good understanding of Wholehead Crops and the ability to lead teams of up to 30 people.
