BRANDED BUYER Key roles and responsibilities Supporting merchandising to negotiate cost prices with supplier base to achieve department targets Manage the department critical path, which includes chasing suppliers to adhere to deadlines. Participate in the product CP meeting Attend and chair fit meetings with QA Create wholesale buy sheets Prepare for weekly trade meeting Analyzing weekly trade reports for website and wholesale and identifying actions Regular comp shops to identify new and missed opportunities in the range To actively participate in meetings including sign offs, strategies, weekly trade and ensure follow up is made. range building including; style confirmation, colours, and product development for all seasonal ranges Attend key internal and customer meetings. Management of BA/AB. Skills Relevant buying experience in the fashion industry Great communication skills - you will be co ordinating teams such as Merchandising, Design, QC, Studio Commercially aware - how to interpret and adapt market trends to the customer to maximise sales Keen interest in fashion and trends Ability to work independently to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment Strong numeracy and analytical skills Driven with a strong sense of initiative
