About the Role
HappyJobsNI is seeking a field-based service engineer on behalf of a well-established provider of CNC machinery solutions. For over 25 years, this company has been a trusted industry leader, delivering expert sales, servicing, and installations across Northern Ireland and ROI.
In this role, you will install, maintain, and repair CNC machinery at client sites, ensuring top-tier service and technical expertise. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer looking to work with advanced machinery, gain industry-leading training, and progress in their career.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical, PLC, and mechanical faults
- Install and commission new and used CNC machinery
- Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance
- Train end-users on machine operation and maintenance
- Identify and coordinate required spare parts for repairs
- Provide technical support to the sales team when required
- Maintain service records and deliver high-quality customer service
What You Need
- Experience with electrical/electronic and mechanical systems
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills, including PLCs (preferred)
- Engineering qualification (desirable but not essential)
- PC literacy and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated with strong teamwork skills
- Full UK or ROI driving licence
- Willingness to travel frequently to ROI and work flexible hours
