Are you a skilled telecoms Field Engineer looking for a long-term contract? On average Field Engineers work with our client for 13 months but this can go up to 2 years!





Do you want regular work where you can typically get home in time for tea/dinner? Our client typically hires engineers to work in select regions, so no travelling halfway across the UK to get to site.





If the above sounds of interest, then you’ll be over the moon to know our client is seeking a Telecoms Field Engineer to join them on a 6-month rolling contract (inside IR35) covering fault rectification and maintenance activities at telecoms sites across Worcester & Hereford area.





The Field Engineer’s duties will involve:




  • Perform reactive and proactive maintenance on multi-customer, multi technology networks, achieving agreed performance targets.

  • Project based, on-site installation, commissioning, and integration activities across multi-customer, multi technology networks achieving agreed performance targets.

  • Work individually, as part of the FSO (Field Service Operations) and wider teams to achieve right first-time resolution of work within customer SLA’s without compromising safe working practices.

  • Assist in the development and review of FSO processes and procedures with a view to maximise efficiency.

  • Keep diligent records and accurately update both internal FSO and Customer systems where necessary.

  • Participation in the on-call rota (1 in 4) when required.





We would welcome applicants with the following skills and experience:




  • Demonstrable experience working with HuaweiBTS, Ericsson ERS, Nokia Airscale.

  • Microwave experience (SIAE) would be advantageous.

  • Ideally live in the above area or be willing to relocate prior to role commencing.

  • Must have the following certs in date:

    • In date medical (including Chester step test)

    • Tower Rescue & Advanced Climber (Arqiva approved)

    • Rooftop/Safety & Ladder Training (Arqiva approved)

    • RF Awareness (Arqiva approved)

    • First Aid at Height (Arqiva approved)

    • NRSWA Unit 2 training (Street Works)

    • Manual Handling

    • Driver, Asbestos & Electrical Awareness courses
