Field Service Engineer – Chromatography

Salary: £40k - £50k

Location: Midlands & North

With exclusive partnerships with some of the most well-known OEM’s as well as valued clients consisting of multinational pharmaceutical & Biotech companies across the UK and Europe, this would be a great opportunity for an experienced engineer to be in a senior position with broad responsibilities and further OEM training.

In this Field Service Engineer position, an engineer can expect:


  • Full-service support on a range of analytical instruments including UHPLC, HPLC, GC, GC-MS, LC-MS, UV-VIS from various manufacturers
  • Diagnosing and resolving issues related to product performance.
  • Performing service, maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting.
  • Calibrating customer equipment in accordance with specified standards.
  • Proactively engage with customers to build relationships and improve service
  • Providing remote technical support to customers.
  • Complete accurate supporting documentation.
  • OEM training and skills development.

A suitable candidate for this Chromatography service engineer position would need:


  • Minimum of HNC or degree level of education In an engineering or science based discipline
  • Significant experience working with Chromatography equipment in a field or labs-based role. UHPLC, HPLC, GC, GC-MS, LC-MS, UV-VIS.
  • Significant experience with Gas chromatography
  • Gas generator experience (desirable)
  • Full UK right to work and UK driving License.
  • Knowledge of labs-based software and applications
  • Motivated and eager to learn.
