Role: Field Service Engineer (Print / Photocopiers)
Location: Peterborough / Cambridge and Northamptonshire
Company Overview:
We are actively seeking a semi-skilled Field Service Engineer (FSE) with transferable skills from sectors such as EPOS, ATM, or IT Hardware. The role involves servicing and maintaining high-end, quality Photocopiers/MFDs to ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair a full range of MFP & Production Print equipment according to technical specifications.
- Respond to field technical calls at client premises as directed, ensuring timely and efficient on-site repairs.
- Maintain accurate technical records using PDA service support tools and communicate with call control as needed.
- Organize and maintain a vehicle or on-site spare parts kit to minimize Return to Fit (RTF) calls. Ensure tools, technical manuals, and other equipment are available, complete, and in safe condition.
- Manage cloud-based digital document repository access through regular online synchronization of provided laptop tools.
- Ensure the company vehicle is maintained according to procedures and kept clean and presentable.
- Maintain accurate work expense records and submit them with receipts on time.
- Attend technical training courses, seminars, and online training modules to maintain technical skills and product awareness.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote efficient operational service.
- Communicate regularly within the Technical Department regarding technical observations to support customer or equipment-related issues.
Essential Qualifications:
- Competent technician with experience in repairing and maintaining IT hardware devices such as ATM, EPOS, Laptops and desktop printers.
- Connectivity experience (e.g., installing print drivers and connecting basic printers to simple networks).
- High competency in diagnostic fault finding.
- DBS and SC Vetting are mandatory requirements for this role.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Advanced IT networking/connectivity experience (e.g., setting up network scanning, full MFP installation on print servers).

Package:
- Up to £28,000 - Monday to Friday only - sociable working hours
- 25 days + Bank Holidays
