Big River Agency is seeking a part-time Finance Admin to join our team and support our growing operations. In this role, you'll be instrumental in keeping our finances in check and ensuring our accounts run smoothly.

We work with well-known brands such as Remedy Kombucha, Tetley Tea, Teapigs, Jack Daniels Barbecue Sauce, Nice Wines, and celebrity brands like Blake Lively’s Betty Buzz. We’re rapidly expanding both our client portfolio and team, providing excellent growth opportunities.



As a Finance Admin, you’ll be joining a collaborative environment where innovation and efficiency are key. This role will be critical in managing financial processes and ensuring our clients and internal teams remain well-supported.



What You’ll Be Doing:




  • Invoicing on Amazon Vendor accounts and ensuring timely payments.

  • Handling client invoicing and, potentially, chasing overdue payments.

  • Reconciling Amazon remittance advice and maintaining accurate records.

  • Managing receivables and payables using Xero or Sage.

  • Reconciling Amazon payments and managing expenses.

  • Communicating with clients to address queries and financial updates.

  • Preparing and managing net-off statements.

  • Tracking chargebacks and managing disputes.

  • Handling shortage disputes and resolving them efficiently.

  • Supporting cashflow management and understanding VAT liabilities.



Who You Are:




  • You have strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

  • You are familiar with invoicing, reconciliation, and accounts payable/receivable processes.

  • Experience with Xero or Sage accounting software is essential.

  • You have a basic understanding of VAT liabilities and cash flow management.

  • You possess strong communication skills to handle client queries and updates.

  • You’re comfortable working independently and managing your time effectively.

  • You have experience spotting financial discrepancies and resolving them efficiently.



Minimum Qualification:




  • AAT Level 2 (Foundation Certificate) or ICB/IAB Level 2 (Bookkeeping)



Preferred Qualification:




  • AAT Level 3 (Advanced Diploma) or ICB/IAB Level 3 (Bookkeeping), with experience in VAT liabilities, cashflow management, and financial reconciliation.

  • Previous experience in e-commerce or managing Amazon payments would be advantageous but not essential.
