This role offers a salary up to £27,011 plus an up to 10% bonus, pension plan, colleague discounts and flexible benefits; plus 31 days annual leave and six bank holidays. About the role As a Finance Analyst you will work within the Financial Control Department on a variety of key finance activities and projects. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance within both internal and external regulations to achieve the business goals and
objectives. You will be responsible for the following tasks;
Prepare month end journals, including accruals and prepaymentsProvide month end commentary during review with finance managers.Prepare monthly management information packs to be used as the basis of a monthly review meeting with each budget holder Conduct management pack meetings with relevant stakeholders.Monthly analysis of reporting of overtime, expenses and travelCarry out review of Purchase Orders against budget and identify areas of under and over spendSupport in the yearly business planning process by working with relevant stakeholdersSupport the interim and year end statutory financial statementsPreparation of schedules for the interim and year-end statutory auditsReview weekly payruns for accuracy and bank details.Undertake proactive investigation, to develop a better understanding of the business and to provide operational performanceSupport of any required ad-hoc reconciliations and additional tasks to support the business. About you You will have previous experience in a financial role, with working in a management accounting role being desirable. A proven track record of working with minimal supervision and the ability to prioritise your workload is essential. It goes without saying that you will have great written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to communicate at all levels including with non-finance stakeholders. You will be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have worked with pivot tables and/or Vlookups. You will be able to spot opportunities for process improvement and be receptive to implementing fresh ideas in order to stay current with your knowledge. The benefits Starting base salary of £24,465 which will increase to £27,011 once your training and probation period are completed. (This is usually around 12 months.)
