Finance Assistant

We are a leading global supplier of automotive parts, dedicated to innovation and excellence in the automotive sector. We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone looking to grow and develop their career in finance within a supportive and progressive environment.

As a Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant, you will work closely with the Head of Finance, gaining valuable experience and mentorship. You will have the opportunity to study for an accountancy qualification such as CIMA or ACCA, fully funded by the company. The role is ideal for an individual looking to take on more responsibility and eventually step into the Head of Finance role.

Location: South West London

Salary: Up to £40,000 + pension + 25 days annual leave + Fully funded accountancy qualification (CIMA or ACCA) + Continuous career development + Training + Free parking on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
  • Manage sales and purchase ledger operations.
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and assist with cash flow management.
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Assist in audit preparation and liaise with auditors as required.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2 - 3 years previous experience working in Accountancy or Finance is preferred.
  • Experience with sales ledger, purchase ledger, accounts payable, or accounts receivable is ideal.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, import/export, or technical sector is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
