Finance Assistant
£25,000 - £28,000, Burgess Hill, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:15pm, 25 days holiday, Pension
The Role
Our client, a leading independent travel organisation, has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join their team. Working as part of a small finance team, and reporting to the Finance Director, this pivotal role will be varied across sales ledger, purchase ledger and general accounts administration.
Accounts payable
Processing purchase orders
Working with a varied ledger including international suppliers
Managing internal enquiries from operations team
Accounts receivable
Processing sales invoices in Sage
Producing credit control reports and working with sales team on collections
Reconciliations
Multi-currency reconciliations
Posting card payments
General Finance Administration
Assisting with month end and year end
Updating financial information daily and running frequent reports
Requirements
We would expect the successful Finance Assistant to be able to demonstrate some experience in a finance position. You will be detail oriented with great organisational skills. You will be a cheerful and confident communicator who is comfortable with picking up new IT systems - good experience in Excel would be useful. A positive attitude and a commitment to doing a good job is particularly important to our client. This role could suit someone who has worked as a Finance Administrator, Accounts Assistant or Accounts Administrator.
