About Us:



Our client is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and proactive Accounts Assistant to join their team and contribute positively to the finance operations.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Purchase Ledger Management: Process purchase invoices, track orders, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate records.

  • Student Billing: Create and manage invoices on Xero

  • Bank and Ledger Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations, ensuring accurate data entry and coding in Sage.

  • Financial Data Handling: Support with month-end journals, accruals, prepayments, and create monthly creditor lists.

  • Credit Card and Expenses Management: Reconcile credit card payments, track expenses, and analyse financial data.

  • Payroll Processing: Manage monthly payroll, handle statutory year-end returns, address staff queries, and update pension information.

  • Administrative Support: Handle staff onboarding, DBS checks, payroll queries, and ensure GDPR-compliant file maintenance.

  • Other Duties: Support utility contract renewals, assist with petty cash, and provide ad hoc financial assistance as required.



Qualifications:




  • Experience: An ideal role for those at the beginning of their finance career; prior accounting experience is helpful but not required. Experience with Xero and Sage is an advantage.

  • Education: AAT students are encouraged to apply; this role offers relevant experience to complement your studies.

  • Skills: Strong organisational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.





This is a full time permanent position with a salary of �25,000p/a.�
