The Role We are currently looking for a Finance Business Partner to support to the UK Specialty and Multinational Client trading divisions (c£200m revenue combined). The role will support the Finance Director and Head of FP&A to report and analyse results across its UK and International offices, and provide finance support for investments in new initiatives. Key Responsibilities Provide high quality and timely information, analysis, reporting and interpretation to support effective decision making and performance management. Develop an understanding of the business to provide tailored reporting and analysis to each team. Understand the drivers of business performance, identifying trends, areas of opportunity or remedial action and influence the implementation of initiatives to address these. Support the production of management reporting packs with commentary. Resolve queries with regard to management reporting, helping to ensure the accuracy of reported results. Develop strong working relationships with the wider Finance team, and with key contacts around the Group. Support business units in the setting of annual budgets and mid-year forecasts. Prepare financial models for company acquisitions. Support the improvement of management reporting and analysis. Support senior managers to deliver group objectives. Skills & Attributes Accuracy and attention to detail Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Ambitious and self-motivated Ability to react positively to change Ability to think laterally and solve problems using own initiative and challenge the status quo where necessary. Knowledge & Experience Essential Experience of reporting and explaining financial results and information Provision of management reporting, commercial analysis, budgets & forecasts Strong understanding of management accounting Desirable Insurance industry experience OneStream experience Project and task management experience Implementation and improvement of processes and controls Professional Qualifications ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified The role will suit a 3 years post qualified individual Who we're looking for At Howden we value diversity - there is no one Howden personality type'.
