An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Business Partner to join a large Logistics company based in Birmingham.

The company are looking for a commercially minded, committed individual to bring in new ideas and drive the business forward.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the divisional leadership team to provide insights and support for achieving revenue targets and making informed business decisions.
  • Participate in the logistics leadership team, providing active support to managers to ensure overall targets are met.
  • Lead the divisional budget and forecasting processes, ensuring comprehensive end-to-end management.
  • Conduct weekly Flash analysis and prepare monthly divisional reports, assisting Division leadership in presenting insights to the Group CEO and CFO.
  • Report on the Division's key performance indicators (KPIs), including financial performance, variance analysis, margin analysis, cost control, and forecasting.
  • Perform robust business modelling to reflect accurate cost-to-serve metrics, ensuring compliant service pricing for new business opportunities and contract renewals.
  • Provide high-quality analysis and insights to maximize growth and gross margin.
  • Identify profit enhancement opportunities and resolve discrepancies by comparing and analyzing depot profit and loss statements (P&Ls).
  • Reconcile financial information from various business segments.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of overall divisional performance and financial results to Division and Group leadership.
  • Execute ad hoc finance duties, including collaborating with the Controllership team on the implementation and testing of new processes, systems, and controls, as well as working with FP&A on central reporting.
  • Handle miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned by the line management chain.
  • Possess strong attention to detail and financial skills to process substantial data, identifying and extracting key trends and exceptions.

Requirements:

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent
