SF Recruitment are currently working with a fantastic educational organisation in the recruitment of 2 interim Finance Business Partners. To work with Principals and other budget holders to ensure they are supported with making efficient and sensible decisions in respect of effective financial management.
This is a remote, interim position to start as soon as possible lasing until the end of October as a minimum.
Key tasks:
- Attendance at monthly finance meetings with the Principal to discuss results to date and forecasts.
- Production of accurate monthly academy management accounts, in line with the Trust reporting timetable.
- Provide supporting analysis to assist the senior finance team in the production of the Trust-wide consolidated management accounts.
- Management of accounting prepayments and accruals to ensure a truthful financial position is reported.
- Completion of month-end checklist and its requirements.
- Work alongside the Principals to ensure that the academy's Integrated Curriculum Financial Plan is maintained accurately.
- Monthly liaison with academy Principals/Regional HR to ensure that all expected changes to the staffing requirements are appropriately calculated and included in the forecast. Changes to be
   appropriately considered in line with the Trust's ICFP targets with frequent updating of IMP to ensure accurate reporting.
- Preparation of payroll reconciliations prior to approval by FC.
- To work with the Local Authorities within the assigned Region to ensure the Trust is maximising educational income; by implementing appropriate control procedures over each funding
  stream.
- To monitor, in collaboration with the DCEO(F&O)/HoF, ESFA/LA/LGPS announcements to ensure the Trust (and 3-5 year forecasts) appropriately reflect current external advice.
- Build a strong network of contacts with the Local Authorities.
- Attend, where deemed necessary, Local Governing Body meetings.
- Monitoring spend; for any Trust wide/local regional procurement opportunities.
- Approval of purchase orders.
- Ensure Pupil Premium reporting and monitoring is competed across the assigned region.
- Provide guidance and support to the Finance Administrators based at the academies.
- Any other duties required by The Trust
