Finance Manager – Liftec Express - FTC 9 Month Maternity Cover





Role Overview: 



Liftec Express, a leading provider of elevator and escalator services in the UK, is seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Manager. As part of a wider dedicated finance team, the Finance Manager will work closely with the UK central Finance teams and oversee all Liftec Express financial operations including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, accounts payables, billing and collections.





The Finance Manager at Liftec Express will provide Business Partnering support to the Liftec Express Management team and contribute to the strategic financial planning and decision-making processes. The role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with strong leadership capabilities.



The role holder shall carry out his/her duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.





On a typical day you will: 




  • Work closely with the UK central Finance teams and oversee all financial operations including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, accounts payables, billing and collections.

  • Acts as a strategic financial partner to the Managing Director and Leadership Team on the financial positioning of Liftec Express, highlighting strategic plans, financial budgeting, cash flow, and policy matters.

  • Monitors the overall financial performance to ensure awareness of anticipated costs / revenues, excesses / deficits, areas of unsatisfactory performance and potential performance improvement opportunities.

  • Business partner, facilitating actions and ensuring connection between the departments in order to achieve the financial results

  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.

  • Support the annual audit process.

  • Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives and financial goals.

  • Provides strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization's strategic development plans.

  • Ensure compliance to financial policies and procedures.

  • Leads estimation and pricing committee

  • Support the UK & Nordics CFO on key ad hoc tasks and requests.



In addition, the candidate will be expected to:




  • Complete quarterly ethics module as advised by Ethics & Compliance Officer (ECO)

  • Perform all his/her responsibilities in compliance with the Otis Policies and Code of Ethics. 







What You Will Need to be Successful: 




  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent

  • Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting is preferred




  • Relevant certification such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent is preferred




  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in managing financial operations in a construction/engineering organization




  • At least 5 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities  

  • Excellent leadership skills with strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities




  • Fluent written and spoken English essential

  • Develops communication strategies and has significant persuasion skills. Resolves conflicts and manages diverge
