Job Title: IFRS 16 Finance Manager

Location: Surrey or Lancashire

Required Experience: IFRS 16

We are partnered with a leading Manufacturing company who are looking for a IFRS 16 Finance Manager to join their Surrey or Lancashire team. In this role the successful candidate will manage all aspects of lease accounting under IFRS 16. Ensuring compliance, delivering accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making related to leasing arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the accurate application of IFRS 16 across the organization, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Manage lease accounting processes, including the review and validation of lease data and calculations.
  • Prepare and review IFRS 16 disclosures for financial statements and reporting packs.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across finance, procurement, and operations to ensure alignment of leasing strategies with business objectives.
  • Monitor and implement updates to IFRS 16 regulations, providing expert advice and training to the finance team.
  • Support internal and external audits, addressing lease-related queries and documentation requests.
  • Lead process improvements, enhancing reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Provide insights and analysis on the financial impact of lease agreements to support decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong technical expertise in IFRS 16.
  • Proven experience in lease accounting, preferably within the aerospace, defence, or manufacturing industries.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across departments.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel).
  • Experience with internal controls and audit processes is a plus.
