Finance Manager London/Hybrid Odgers Berndtson Executive Search About the role Finance Manager London/Hybrid Odgers Berndtson Executive Search Click here to download the full brief About the role In collaboration with the Group Financial Controller, the Finance Manager will oversee the finance operations in both the UK and the USA. They will report to and provide substantial support to the Group Financial Controller, while directly managing a team of six. The UK-based finance team is fully responsible for the financial management of the UK business and has recently assumed control of the US operations. Responsibilities Line management responsibility for a team of 6 Finance Operations Day-to-day support for the larger finance team Responsibility for the preparation of monthly management accounts Liaising with overseas finance functions Consolidation of overseas businesses Support annual budget and forecasting Working closely with the management accountant to review and analyse variances in the budget Annual audit and preparation of year-end files for Auditors Preparation of Annual Statutory accounts for UK companies Treasury, bank payments review and authorisation Liaison with Tax advisors Oversee preparation of VAT returns and other statutory filings Balance sheet reconciliations and investigation Ensure correct treatment of LLP/Partnership transactions Support the UK Finance Director and team where required Liaising with and supporting the heads of practices (divisions) About you Knowledge A Qualified accountant with demonstrable experience as a Finance Manager, preferably with experience working in both UK and overseas trading entities. Detail knowledge of accounting frameworks and management and statutory accounting Experience with SUN accounting systems or similar accounting software.
