FINANCE MANAGER
REPORTING TO:
Finance Director
WORKING HOURS:
Monday – Friday, 9.00/10.00 – 18.00
LOCATION:
Holborn Studios, Eagle Wharf N1, London
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Finance
KEY INTERNAL INTERFACES:
Account Managers, Creative Producers, HR, Leadership team
KEY EXTERNAL INTERFACES:
Auditors, HMRC
CONTRACT LENGTH:
August 2024 – September 2025, the end date is linked to the return of our Financial Coordinator from maternity leave
SALARY:
£55-60k (DOE)
A bit about DTV
We are direct marketing fundraisers who help NGOs acquire new donors through direct response television, film, and radio. We help to inspire current donors to continue to keep giving. We use film to recruit major donors. We work with media agencies and call centres to help NGOs manage response effectively and get the best deals possible. DTV is now an employee-owned trust (EOT).
DTV London is our HQ, we also have offices in Hong Kong, Sydney, Seoul, and Vienna, serving our International NGO's who are based around the globe.

Our Financial Controller is going on maternity leave and so we are looking for someone who shares our values and brings the skills and experience to step in and get going straightway. Variation in workload is part of life at DTV and we’re looking for someone who can be flexible even at our busiest times.
You’ll lead our busy Finance Team of 3, based on Hong Kong, Australia and London, building strong relationships with everyone, across all offices, to ensure smooth finance processes throughout the agency, including Account Management, Creative, Post-production, and Media teams.
This role reports into the Finance Director with dotted line into the CEO, and you’ll represent finance on our leadership team, contributing at meetings, providing insights.

The role
Managing monthly and annual forecasts
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting including profit and loss account statements and balance sheets
Monitor expenditures and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements
Manage payroll
Pensions
VAT and Non Union OSS submissions
Manage month-end and year-end controls, reconciliations etc.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures across our global agency
Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required
Leading and managing our team of 3 across our global offices
Intercompany reconciliations
What skills will you need to shine?
You’ll have support from our Finance Director to help you find your way around our accounts, and you’ll also need the following:
ACCA/ACA qualified or demonstrably qualified by experience
Understanding of IFRS Standards
Understanding of VAT rules and regulations
Understanding and ability to work with multi-currencies
Flexible, adaptable and hands-on with a keen attention to detail
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to flourish in an informal working environment
Strong level of Microsoft Excel (essential)
Experience of Sage – desirable (not essential)
Media agency or
production/postproduction
accounts experience would help; TV ads and film are our core outputs.
Fundraising experience. An understanding of and empathy with the charity sector would be highly desirable.
