Location: Bridgwater/Newbury/Theale

Working Hours: 07:30 – 16:30, Monday to Friday

Holiday Allowance: 20 days (+ bank holidays), increasing with tenure

Are you a reliable and experienced Finance Manager looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a talented individual to analyse everyday financial activities and provide valuable advice and guidance to support the senior leadership team of a growing family run manufacturing business within the construction industry.



What You’ll Be Doing:




  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial reports, including cash flow forecasting, profit & loss reporting, balance sheets, management accounts, and key ratio metrics.

  • Investment Advisory: Advise on investment activities and collaborate on capex projects to review costs against budgets and forecasts.

  • Financial Health: Maintain and improve the financial health of our organization.

  • Cost Analysis: Analyse costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and performance versus business plans.

  • Trend Development: Develop financial trends and projections.

  • Cost Reduction: Identify and evaluate cost-reduction opportunities.

  • Department Oversight: Oversee finance department operations, set goals, and design frameworks for success.

  • Strategic Support: Assist directors in setting and managing forecasts and budgets.

  • Decision-Making: Participate in directors and shareholders meetings, steering decisions with financial data.

  • Audit Liaison: Work with auditors to ensure proper financial monitoring.

  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Discuss company plans with various departments and agree on future paths.



What We’re Looking For:




  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role with a business partnering mindset.

  • Experience of working in manufacturing/construction or related industries

  • Strong understanding of financial trends and market patterns.

  • Proficiency with finance software.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to manage and lead employees in financial processes.

  • Solid grasp of financial statistics, accounting principles, and statutory regulations.

  • Experience with business accounting, including working with accountants and tax advisors.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and KPIs.

  • Humble, hungry, smart attitude.



Desirables:




  • BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.

  • Professional qualifications such as CIMA / ACCA or similar.
