We are recruiting for a Finance Business Manager �to work with out Tier 1 Construction Contractor client reporting to the Head of Finance for Facilities Management.



The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision, interpretation and streamlining of financial and management information to support and inform the management teams in the day to day management of their business.




  • Finance manager for the PFI Facilities Management and Corporate Estates for the FM business unit with an annual turnover of �60M.

  • Results orientated, with a strong partnering mentality, able to influence across a multifunctional business and revenue streams.

  • Oversee the smooth operation of the accounting function, providing accounting support to the business units and perform necessary statutory duties as required�

  • Leading a strong finance team, with the autonomy to shape and develop the finance offering



The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and an opportunity to develop their strategic planning skills over a portfolio of contracts which have +10 years of secured future trading.



Key Tasks and Accountabilities



Financial Management




  • Finance lead for the business units and to lead the finance team to deliver the challenging �annual results

  • Preparation of the Annual Budgets and Reforecasts and ensuring that the BU directors are involved in the preparation of the forecasts

  • Cash and WIP management and ensuring that invoicing is done on a timely and accurate manner

  • Balance sheet reconciliations and reporting

  • Medium and long term modelling and scenario planning



Financial Reporting




  • Production of monthly accounts with a detailed analysis and reporting of the results for the business units against the annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts

  • Timely and accurate reporting of the weekly WIP and invoicing with cash collection targets

  • Support site finance and admin teams ensuring that they understand the requirements for the delivery of the results forecasted at site level

  • Reconciling and reporting of the key balance sheet accounts and providing visibility of the issues

  • Understand and report on the Lifecycle elements of the PFI business

  • Provide support to Commercial and Operational functions in understanding and challenging cost base



People




  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including business stream and senior management teams, and to support and develop a finance team to deliver the challenging results

  • Attend Senior Leadership and various other finance related meetings and deputise for the Head of Finance when required

  • Provide guidance and best practise to the Finance, Commercial and Administration teams

  • Work closely with the various departments within the finance shared service centre based in Manchester

Qualified accountant, preferably with 3 years post qualification experience.
