Job Description: Finance Manager

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

Location: Reading (Hybrid)

Role Overview: As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing various financial operations within the organisation. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of financial management tasks, ensuring financial health and compliance across the board. You will manage a team of 5 people and report directly to the Finance Director.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements.
  • Authorize claims and supplier payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor cash flow and financial forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Evaluate development costs and capital expenditure proposals.
  • Implement and manage credit control procedures.
  • Manage the purchase order system for IT expenditure.
  • Administer insurance funds and liaise with underwriters.
  • Handle FCA submissions and prepare/facilitate VAT returns.

Skills/Qualifications:
