Finance Manager

Finance Manager Are you a hands-on and commercially focused finance manager seeking an opportunity in the health & beauty space? Do you have experience operating in an SME FMCG business? Are you excited by the opportunity to take full ownership of the strategic and transactional day to day running of a finance function? MacGregor Black is currently partnered with an award winning beauty brand searching for a commercially astute and transactionally proficient Finance Manager . This is a permanent role with hybrid working opportunities (2 days a week in the office), based in London. As Finance Manager you will report directly into the CEO whilst taking complete ownership of the day to day accounting functions, cash-flow management, and commercially focused duties such as budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning. Additionally, it includes business partnering with Sales, Products, Operations teams to enhance operational efficiency. This role is a multi-faceted and absolutely crucial as the business looks to continuously expand globally through multi-channel distribution. Key responsibilities: Take full responsibility for finance functions, including AP, AR, credit control, accruals, prepayments, and journal entries Oversee the production of monthly management accounts and report findings to the Board Conduct bank and balance sheet reconciliations Analyse profit and loss statements, margins, and variances Manage cash flow and currency transactions Implement budgets and forecasts Prepare and manage payroll and VAT through a third-party agency Partner with other departments for business and commercial initiatives Develop and maintain relationships with various third parties, including banks, auditors, tax advisors, insurance providers, and pension managers. Oversee financial systems, policies, and processes. What are we looking for? Extensive experience with SAP Business One systems Partially or fully qualified in ACA, ACCA, or CIMA Proficient in working with third-party sales tax and cross-border tax advisers Ability to independently manage all aspects of transactional finance Advanced skills in Excel Willingness to engage hands-on in all areas of the business Experience in a retail or consumer environment is preferred Our client can offer a fantastic company culture, a competitive salary and excellent additional benefits.
