Finance Manager

Salary: �50,000 per annum

Our client is seeking a motivated and adaptable Finance Manager with a strong outcome-oriented mindset. This role offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with finance teams across the globe. The successful candidate will be comfortable implementing robust processes and controls, understanding UK tax and regulatory requirements, and interacting with senior stakeholders.

What you'll do:

As a Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the UK finance operations, reporting and compliance. You will have the opportunity to implement strong processes and controls while ensuring an understanding of applicable UK tax and regulatory requirements. Your role will involve interaction with senior stakeholders as well as the Group Finance team. You will also be responsible for providing value-adding operational reports, assisting in efficient capture and reporting of inter-company related activities, maintaining local relationships with UK advisors (audit, tax, legal), supporting in the preparation of financial business cases for proposed new business offerings such as new degree programmes.

  • Manage all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, tax compliance, general ledger, cost accounting and revenue recognition
  • Oversee treasury management including cash flow management, forecasting and cash collection
  • Improve key business processes
  • Provide monthly reporting and analysis on financial performance and KPIs
  • Ensure compliance with all external obligations including annual returns/filings and VAT returns
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory and audit requirements
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Provide support to produce annual budgets and rolling financial forecasts

  • Qualified accountant with experience in finance operations, month end reporting, compliance, process improvement
