Reporting to: Financial Controller
Direct Reports: Cash Control and Loss Prevention Manager, AP & AR Supervisor
Location: Paddington, London (minimum of 3 days a week in our central London office)

The Role:
To support the Financial Controller (FC) in day-to-day and ad-hoc matters with regards to all activities within the transactional finance team, including managing accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR) and cash control functions, to ensure accuracy and control of monthly and annual accounts, and to drive improvements within the team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Manage, develop and mentor the transactional finance team (team of 10 in total)
Oversee all purchase and overheads invoices
Ensure accuracy of data entry at all times ensuring all transaction details, item lines and tax are processed correctly, in adherence to company policies
Ensure accurate and consistent controls are in place and adhered to across all processes within the transactional finance team (including supplier statements, account customers and cash reconciliations) every period end
Provide input on monthly cash flow forecasting
As and when required by the team help to resolve transactional queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders acting as a key point of contact
Review and approve payment runs
Maintain accurate records, control reports and clean audit trails for year-end financial audits
Support the FC in delivering ad hoc projects, including identifying opportunities for process improvements and a strengthened control environment.
Providing key support for all members of the management and finance teams in particular management accounts to ensure timely and accurate reporting
You Will Own:
Management of the transactional finance team
Responsible for all period end processes within the transactional finance team (including all required controls and reconciliations)
Ensure strong control environment across all elements of transactional finance
Responsible for identifying process improvements
Responsible for the preparation of owned balance sheet reconciliations and the collation, review and filing of the reconciliations
Who We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in transactional finance (3-5 years)
Experience in hospitality/ retail/ FMCG desirable but not necessary
High attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data within multiple legal entities and cost centres
Team management experience
Self-motivated with strong communication skills
Advanced excel skills
Willing and able to take responsibility and ownership for tasks
Organised with excellent time management skills
Strong analytical skills with an ability to create and follow set processes
Strong drive for understanding and continuous improvement

Where We Work Together:
We have a great office designed by our own in-house creative team, located in Central London, just opposite the Edgware Road Circle line tube stop.
