Finance Manager | Up to £55k | Maidstone
We are delighted to be working exclusively with our privately-owned client who are looking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to their growing team as the business grows and increases its industry presence. They are a business that prides themselves on having a fantastic company culture and are looking for someone who is commercially minded who can build strong relationships within the business.
Key Duties for this role include -
Monitoring the day-to-day financial operations for the business and mentoring of junior team members
Preparation of monthly management reports and provision of commentary
Analyse trends to maximise profits
Prepare monthly accruals, prepayments and accounting entries
Provide support to department heads to ensure budgets remain on track
Ensure financial accounting, controls and reporting are developed and documented
Prepare and present statutory accounts
Lead the payroll, VAT and HMRC processes
Nurture business relationships with auditors, solicitors and bank
Liaise with external parties in completion of tax, audit and banking
Drive continuous improvement of accounting practices
The ideal candidate will -
Be fully qualified - ACA, ACCA or CIMA or candidates who are qualified by experience will be considered
Possess excellent communication skills
Be commercially minded and thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on business
Be able to build strong business relationships
Strong analytical skills and always be looking to add value
