Join this market-leading Hereford business as Finance Manager, managing the month-end and with responsibility for budgeting and forecasting for a c.�20m entity. The salary range reflects the fact we can consider candidates who are developing in to a role like this or those who are already qualified and operating at this level. There is a particularly interesting focus on change management in this role which may be very desirable for the right person.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing the month-end and year-end financial close process
• Supporting the Finance Director during the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes with regards to P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and capital plan
• Regulatory requirements and liaising with auditors for statutory and tax filings
• Supervising the annual external audit for UK
• Overseeing payroll process and journals
• Managing VAT and Intrastat returns process to ensure compliance with regulations
• Managing and developing AR and AP functions
• Reconciling all balance sheet accounts
• Managing the fixed assets process
• Analysis including comparing actual to budgeted spending and other reporting
• Banking functions - including cash management, payments, regular cash flow forecasting and reporting

Candidate profile

• Could be a part-qualified/nearly qualified candidate. Could also be someone already qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
• Practical experience of costing desirable, if not theoretical
• Strong Excel skills
• A skilled communicator who can manage change
• Confident managing a small team
• Deadline-focused and able to produce reports on a timely basis
