About the Role

As the new Finance Officer, you’ll play a key part in the UK office’s financial operations while working closely with the international headquarters in Italy. This exciting role offers the chance to gain exposure to a wide range of financial responsibilities, perfect for someone who’s detail-oriented, organised, and ready to learn.
Your responsibilities as a Finance Officer will include:

• Maintaining the general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Preparing monthly reports and analysing variances against budgets.
• Managing cash flow forecasting and financial reporting.
• Supporting the preparation of annual budgets and financial statements.
• Overseeing VAT settlements and liaising with auditors.
• Assisting with sales reporting analysis for the UK commercial team.
• Collaborating with the accountancy team in Liverpool as needed and visiting our headquarters in Milan annually.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a Finance Officer who brings:

• A degree or qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and a sharp eye for detail.
• Exceptional organisational abilities and a proactive approach.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a passion for learning new systems.
• Knowledge of Italian (an advantage but definitely not essential).
