I am currently seeking a Finance Transformation Lead for an international listed Group with a recently appointed and highly experienced management team, that has ambitious plans for growth in the UK and internationally.
Description
The Finance Transformation Lead is responsible for driving the strategic transformation of the finance function, including systems and process enhancements, to improve efficiency, accuracy, and strategic value. This role will oversee the implementation of financial systems, manage change initiatives, and lead cross-functional teams to achieve business goals. Providing regular updates and insights to the CFO and Executive.
The successful candidate for this Finance Transformation Lead role will:
Lead the finance transformation programme to ensure the delivery in line with agreed timescales, outcomes and budget.
Continue to Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and system enhancements to streamline finance operations.
Oversee the implementation and integration of financial systems and tools.
Collaborate with Financial Systems, Business teams IT and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and data integrity across systems.
Working with the Finance leadership team to continue to analyse current finance processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
Design and implement new processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of process changes.
Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth transitions during the implementation of new systems and processes.
Communicate transformation objectives, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels.
Work closely with other departments, such as IT, HR, and operations, to ensure alignment and support for finance transformation initiatives.
Engage with external vendors and consultants to leverage expertise and resources as needed.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the finance team.
Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback to team members.
Promote a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
Skills
The skills and experience required for this Finance Transformation Lead role include but are not limited to:
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related roles.
Proven track record of leading finance transformation projects, including system implementations and process improvements.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
In-depth knowledge of financial systems (e.g., ERP, FP&A software) and technologies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Candidates should possess a recognised accountancy qualification, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification would be advantageous.
