Financial Accountant

ACA / ICAEW / CA / CPA Qualified, Financial Accountant, 1 day a week in North West London, £50,000-£57,000

I have a really exciting opportunity for an ACA / ICAEW / CA / CPA Qualified Accountant, (ideally first time mover) to join a large business which continues to go from strength to strength.

The typical day to day activities are as follows;

• Prepare statutory & tax filings for entities in the region including annual, direct and other returns·
• Initiate and prepare regular CIT payments
• Familiarize yourself with statutory requirements for the EMEA countries within your responsibility.
• Prepare supporting documents audits
• Preparation of the annual statutory accounts and tax pack(s)
• Support system improvements and documentation
• Regulatory Reporting
• Offer assistance in propose Improvements

Responsibilities:

• Improving the Statutory and Regulatory environment.
• Working with IT to develop further advances in areas within the remit of the role.
• Assisting with the improvement of the financial governance reporting systems
• Work with the Regional Statutory Compliance Manager and Finance functions to ensure that Finance Statutory and Regulatory processes are robust across all the businesses and remain that way.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with other Finance Functions.
• Work with the Finance, Operations and Commercial Teams to address Statutory and Regulatory control gaps within their remit
• Work on ad hoc projects as required

Qualifications:

• ACA - Top 25 Audit firm trained
• Ideally have exposure with US GAAP and one or more statutory GAAP in EMEA.
• Knowledge of SAP.
