Job Title: Financial Accountant

Salary: �46,000 - �52,000 per annum (depending on experience)



Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We are partnering with a well-established NHS Trust known for its commitment to providing exceptional healthcare services. The Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Accountant to join their dynamic team.





Job Description:



As a Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of the Trust. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining financial records, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This position requires a fully qualified accountant with experience using the Integra Finance System.





Key Responsibilities:




  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

  • Ensure compliance with NHS financial regulations and standards.

  • Manage and maintain the financial ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Perform regular reconciliations of accounts, including balance sheets and income statements.

  • Support budget preparation and monitoring, providing financial analysis and insights.

  • Oversee the processing of financial transactions, including payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

  • Utilize the Integra Finance System for financial reporting and analysis.

  • Collaborate with various departments to provide financial support and guidance.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.

  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of statutory returns and reports.





Essential Requirements:




  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).

  • Proven experience as a Financial Accountant, preferably within the NHS or public sector.

  • Proficiency in using the Integra Finance System.

  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards within the NHS.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in financial ledger and reporting packages.





Desirable Skills:




  • Experience working in a healthcare or public sector environment.

  • Knowledge of NHS financial processes and procedures.

  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with other financial software.
